Underdog Racing Tips Review (Jan 2023)
SUMMARY
Underdog Racing Tips clearly know their horse racing. Results since their tipster service started on the tipstrr Platform in October 2019 have been extraordinary.
From tipstrr: Since joining Tipstrr in October 2019, UNDERDOG Racing Tips has made a total cumulative profit of over 13,000 points (based on 5 point e/w stakes).
So, during just over 3 years the service has returned a profit of over 1,300 points based on bets of 0.5pts each way.
Must there always be a BUT….
Joining the service must be a no-brainer then? Well, as so often in life, there’s a BUT….
Underdog Racing Tips are usually sent the night before a race or otherwise earlier in the morning. Results quoted are based on prices available when tips are issued. However, those prices are often only available for a short time before they are cut by the bookies.
To get close to the same results, you’ll need to get your bets on promptly once the tips are sent. Depending on your circumstances, that may be possible but there will be plenty of people who won’t be able to get those prices. You might still make a profit from the service but not at the levels quoted on Tipstrr.
Even if you are able to get your bets on at or close to the advised prices, it won’t go unnoticed by the bookie. Your bookie account will likely be flagged and your stakes limited or benefits like BOG removed.
Alternatively, you could see whether you can get close to advised prices using prices available on the Betfair Exchange. At Betfair Starting Prices (BSP), Underdog hasn’t been profitable over the last 3 years with a small overall loss.
Summary
There are clearly some negatives with the Underdog Racing Tips service around the ability to bet at or close to the advised prices. However, I’ve rated it as Recommended on the basis that it may work for some users. If so, the returns have consistently been Excellent.

Underdog is on the well-established tipstrr platform.
With a focus on football tips and horse racing tips, and a growing number of other sports, tipstrr is home to many world-class betting tipsters with a proven track record.
On Tipstrr, results for all services are published with a wealth of statistics available regarding each tipster’s previous results. You can see which sports, market type and leagues they tip. Totals are available by bookmaker, advised odds, time advised and by month.
There’s a full history of tips. So, you can see when they were published, at what stake, the advised odds and suggested bookie.
Free or Paid (Cost) / Trial period / Money Back Guarantee
Underdog Racing Tips is a paid service. A £5 30 day trial is available followed by a Monthly subscription of £29. A Quarterly subscription is also available at £73 (15% off monthly cost).
Profits to Level Stakes (LSP) / Monthly & Annual / Betfair SP?
Underdog tips are advised as £25 Each Way bets (so there’s £50 at Risk). Based on those stakes, the total profit in the 12 months up to January 2023 was £28,830.
That equals 576 points based on 1 point bets (£50) which is very impressive.
Since the service started, there have been 10 losing months out of 40. The greatest loss being 28 points.
Despite tips having an average price around 17.0 (16/1), the results and profits are quite consistent which is quite a feat!
Betfair SP? This is the Achilles Heel. Unfortunately, to BSP Underdog Racing has made a small loss of 32 points since the service started. In the last 12 months there’s been a profit of 40 points to BSP. If your bookie accounts are restricted, you might be able to create a profit via Betfair. Straight backing at BSP is unlikely to be profitable. Key is whether you are able to get competitive prices on the Betfair Exchange when tips are released.
Timing / How are Tips Sent? / Price availability / Early Prices required?
Most bets are sent 12 to 24 hours before the race starts with the rest mainly between 3 and 12 hours beforehand.
So, bets are mainly advised between 4pm and 8pm followed by the period from 8am to 12pm.
Tips are sent by email and also updated on the Tipstrr website.
Price Availability – this is the major sticking point for Underdog Tips. The reality is that getting the advised prices is likely be a challenge. Prices for selections don’t usually last long after tips are sent. Here’s a quick comparison of the Advised and Starting Prices for 7 selections across the last 2 days:-

You can see that the Starting Prices are the same for 2 of the selections, slightly lower for one and around one third of the price for 2. Sure this is a very small sample and if I have time I may try to carry out a wider test including Betfair Starting Price. Overall though, Price Availability is something that is likely to be a challenge for most subscribers to Underdog Racing.
Price Availability is Key
So it’s clear that early Prices are key for this service. You may need to be quick out the stalls to get your bets on at the advised prices.
Placing bets on horses the night before racing, runs the risk of having your account restricted (Gubbed). Particularly when backing horses at ‘Value’ prices go on to shorten dramatically before the race starts. You MUST be aware of this and the fact you may find some of your bookie accounts subject to restrictions.
Transparency & Time service has been running
Underdog Racing Tips started on Tipstrr been running since October 2019.
Being on Tipstrr there is complete transparency of results. Underdog results are valid based on when the tips are sent and the advised prices at that time.

All tips are Back Each Way bets. There are typically 2-3 bets each day

The main bookies advised by Underdog Racing Tips are Bet365, Betfair Sportsbook, SkyBet, and 888 Sports.
Strike Rate / Average Odds / Yield / Consistency
The All Time Strike Rate for Underdog Racing is 5% based on Winning Bets. Each Way bets mean returns are smoothed compared to straight Win betting.
Average Odds are c.17.0 and the Yield has been over 30% which is great.
For a tipster advising such high odds, the returns are quite consistent which is testament to the quality of the tips.
I joined recently as got discount and tbh its not as great as it made out to be. Their results are based on odds that you simply will not get eg they post a bet at the opening odds which could be 30/1 but in reality you will never get these odds and the odds will be more or less half of thses opening odds in reality eg I received one tip and put the bet on almost 4 minutes after I got the tip and the odds had halved so its very misleading when they say they had a winner at 30/1 when in reality you would never get these odds. Not so sure how profitable it would be with real odds and its very misleading to quote these high odds when its not achieveable.
