Betfair Trading Community Review
Full Disclosure – I’ve been a Member of Betfair Trading Community (BTC) for several years and fully intend to continue. I want to explain the services they provide to help you choose whether to follow me and join BTC. This is a service I Recommend but you’ll need to decide if it’s right for you.
Before reading the review it is worth you checking out our Sports Trading page if you’re not already familiar with the principles of Exchange Trading.
Background
Betfair Trading Community is run by several Professional Betfair Traders. The service provides guidance, tools and support to help Betfair Traders develop their skills and experience. There is no guarantee that as a member of BTC you will definitely make money from trading. However, they do their best to get you there including 1:1 support and coaching.
Betfair Trading Community covers trading across a wide range of sports. However the main focus is trading on Football, Horse Racing, Tennis and Cricket.
As well as support from the Team behind BTC, there is also an active Forum. On the Forum there are experienced traders very willing to give trading advice, share ideas, help with software filters etc.
BTC Academy
Monthly or Annual members of Betfair Trading Community have access to the BTC Academy. Non-members can purchase it separately for £147.
The Academy has 5 modules split between: –
- Trading Essentials
- Mastering Football Trading
- Master Tennis Trading
- Mastering Horse Trading
- Mastering Cricket Trading
Each module has a series of Lessons which contain separate steps to follow. If you are familiar with trading there probably won’t be much you will learn from the Academy. However, trading newbies will find the content helpful although there is other free content available on the web.
BTC Strategies
In the Strategies section, you’ll find 25 different trading strategies across Football, Tennis, Cricket, Horse Racing and NFL.
They provide you with written and video introductions and will help you develop your understanding of potential areas to trade. Some of the videos also demonstrate how the statistics software is used in conjunction with the various trading strategies.

Football Stats Software
Update Jan 2023
This review is based on the current BTC Football Software. BTC has recently introduced its Horse Stats Software and the Football Software is being revamped along similar lines. This should be a great development with the ability to Back-Test Football Trading Strategies. You can see how the BTC Horse Stats works in my Recent Review.
The Football Software gives you access to a wealth of statistics for matches played across both major and minor football leagues. In addition to the Historic Stats data, the software pulls in live Betfair prices. These can be used in the software Filters to identify potential value trade opportunities.
The Historical Stats can be split (see below) allowing you to view stats from 11 different angles:-
- Half Time Scores
- Full Time Scores
- Overs / Unders
- Goal Times
- Scored / Conceded
- Sequences
- Margins
- HT / FT
- Attack Stats
- Discipline
- Streaks
Filters
Having access to loads of stats is great but where do you start? You need to be able to sift through them and create filters to base your trading on. That’s where the Filters come in.
On the right hand side of the Stats Dashboard above, there is a Filters section where you can build your own filter plus access some ready made Profitable Member Filters. The filters can be as simple or complicated as you want using the many different historic stats held in the software. You can save filters and easily identify matches with match your criteria.
A really handy feature is that you can export the selections for a particular filter or all your filters to Excel. It makes it easy to do your prep for your day’s trading.
The BTC community are very supportive if you need help with your filters. If you know what criteria you want in a filter but aren’t sure how, help is available. The BTC Team or Forum members are always willing to support and potentially create the filter for you.
There are also 19 training modules in the BTC Academy explaining different aspects of the Football Software.
Tennis Stats Software
The BTC Tennis Software is laid out in a similar way to the Football Stats Software. Obviously the stats themselves and the parameters available for the filters are very different.
Historical Stats are categorised (see above) allowing you to view stats from 8 different angles:-
- Final Scores
- Set Scores
- Match Times
- Breaks
- Serve / Return
- Sequences
- Streaks
- Margins
As well as the Historic Stats for each player, the software also has a Forecast feature, shown below. The Filter has this data available when you build your own filters. You could for example create a Filter where the Forecast Projected Hold for one player is 10 or more higher than their opponent.
As with the BTC Football Stats Software, the Tennis Software provides a wealth of Historic Data, Forecast Stats based on previous performance and Live Betfair Prices. If you are serious about trading tennis, data is be an essential partner and the BTC Tennis software gives you the information to help you succeed.
Horse Racing Software
After much anticipation, the Betfair Trading Community (BTC) Horse Racing Stats Software went live during 2022. It’s a great bit of kit. If you’re interested in building and testing horse racing trading or betting strategies then you’ll want know more. If so, you can READ MY REVIEW HERE.
Forum
The BTC Forum is very active, particularly in the threads dedicated to Football, Tennis and Horse Racing trading. Compared to other forums, the members are very open and honest with a culture of sharing ideas and strategies. There are plenty of members running their own blog posts showing their selections and results for others to comment, follow etc.

How Much Does Betfair Trading Community Cost?
The BTC Pricing model has been revamped since the introduction of the Horse Stats Software. You can see above the features available under each of the Membership Options.

Betfair Trading Community Review – Summary
Whilst I’m clearly a fan of BTC I have tried to be impartial with my Review of Betfair Trading Community.
Each Member will likely find aspects of the service which are their favourites. For me, the Software and Forum are where I focus my time. Since the roll out of the Horse Racing Stats Software that’s even more the case! If you’re interested in Trading Horse Racing then please take a look at My Review of the Horse Stats Software. There are free sites with statistics you might use to create trading strategies but most have limited functionality. That’s why I use Betfair Trading Community as their software gives me greater flexibility to develop specific trading filters. The filters save loads of time and there are several Profitable Members Filters available to all stats users.
The great thing about BTC is the spirit of co-operation from all the members. There is a history of members investing alot of their time to develop new software filters and strategies. It would be easy for them to keep them to themselves but that’s not the case in BTC. I’m sure the Horse Racing Software will lead to some fantastic analysis and conversations in the Forum.
